Most parents walk in with one of these worries. Here's what Long Island City parents said after they stayed.
★★★★★When my child initially started, they were reserved, and hesitant to participate and even cried when given an award. I witnessed them gradually improve in self esteem, participation and engagement with the coaches. My child looked forward to class every week.
★★★★★My little one is very shy and an introvert, the program is really helping her brake out of her comfort zone and take chances. I would recommend this program to any parent looking to help their little ones break out of their shell.
★★★★★When we go to other public spaces she can now introduce herself clearly to others. I also hear her softly say "that she is strong, she is brave, she is KidStrong" when she is trying new things.
★★★★★Our son is so much more confident in his daily life, his school has improved, asks more questions without any fear or shyness. Our son Maximus is 42" inches high but he feels 84" inside his head.
★★★★★He felt right at home, and that alone gave me the confidence to sign him up. Coach Charlie was attentive, caring, and took the time to listen to us. He provided the guidance Liam needed to feel comfortable and confident from the moment he walked through the doors.
★★★★★He's a lot more confident in his body movements and a lot more comfortable interacting with coaches and his classmates. Thankful for your gentle guidance in working with him and us!
★★★★★We've been going for about 6 months now, and I've genuinely seen a difference in her confidence and interaction. She always looks forward to her classes and leaves happy.
★★★★★My son is very energetic and has shown great improvement. At first, he struggled to sit still or pay attention during class, but now he eagerly asks to attend and follows all the coaches' instructions.
★★★★★I initially wanted my son who is now 26 months to work off the extra energy. Not only is it doing that but it helps with his terrible 2s in daycare. He fought participating when he first started now he comes in & doesnt want to leave.
★★★★★He has so much energy and he is super athletic. He is able to enjoy himself in a safe environment without being judged and he is surrounded by coaches with so much patience and kind hearts.
★★★★★He's learning to follow instructions, how to improve his patience and move his body. It's been great for his confidence and to get his energy out.
★★★★★I really love how they have so much patience with my son! He is so full of energy and they know how to keep him involved at all times!! He has made so many new friends and have learned so much!
★★★★★The class tires him out for the day which helps with parenting a 2 year old toddler boy. I can see big improvement from his week 1 performance and we're 8 classes in.
★★★★★They give awards on participation and engage with all kids. Definitely recommend to any parent that has an energetic toddler/child.
★★★★★My son has tried so may sports and never sticks with it. We are 10 weeks in and he can't wait to come in. Every minute is engaging and full of energy.
★★★★★Normally he gives up when something is hard, but the coaches kept motivating him and I just watched him keep trying again and again. And then he finally made it through and literally yelled "I DID IT!!!" I don't think I've ever seen him that proud of himself.
★★★★★It is the very rare class both my boys (age 7 and 10) enjoy. Definitely check it out, especially if your kid is not that into team sports or needs a little extra help staying on task.
★★★★★He looks forward to the 45min structured class and i never have to force him to go. Which is a huge win for the parents. I love how every week is different.
★★★★★Of all the programs that my son has gone through he has the best time here at kid strong. They learn about teamwork, following instructions and breaking through barriers that they may have been afraid of before.
★★★★★We tried this place on a whim 4 months ago and still love it. Our son goes every week and the coaches and classes are great.
★★★★★Both my boys LOVE KidStrong. Without a doubt it is my kids' FAVORITE extracurricular activity. They are engaged every minute of class!
★★★★★As a mom of a child on the spectrum, I have seen improvement in his listening skills and following directions. The coaches are great and understand him by now.
★★★★★What means the most to us is the patience and understanding the coaches have shown Aiden. They take the time to work with him, encourage him, and meet him where he is without ever making him feel pressured.
★★★★★He looks forward to it every week. That tells me he feels comfortable and accepted. I love how coaches make modifications if needed to fit the childs needs.
★★★★★Every single staff member has been welcoming and went out of their way to help my kiddo do his best in each class. Thank you for always creating a safe space for my kid to be himself and have fun.
★★★★★They are able to work with a kid on the spectrum and still incorporate them with the rest of the group.
★★★★★Great program that encourages socialization, following instructions, and short, high-intensity exercises. Inclusive of neurodiverse kids and their families.
Fifteen seconds each, filmed at pickup. No scripts.
Two coaches, short blocks, nobody sitting around. The programming changes every week.

"I am strong. I am brave. I can do this!"
Eye contact and a clear introduction. Every single class.
Warm-ups that build the base skills.
High-coaching block on this cycle's big skill.

Kids compete, lose, try again. That's where grit comes from.
We finish strong by recognizing the effort of every kid.
A few minutes with you after class on what we saw and the goal you told us about.
We'd rather tell you now than after you sign up.

Let's confirm that you like the program first. Let's say you do. Our 72-hour think-it-over policy covers you in case your spouse hates the idea.
Change your mind within 72 hours and you get every dollar back, registration included. Your kid keeps the shirt and the poster.
That's normal in a first class, and our coaches have a plan for it. We never force a child in. Some kids watch for ten minutes and then jump in. That counts.
Your child takes one class a week at a time you choose, and it's the same slot every week, so it becomes routine. If your schedule changes, we'll move you to another class time as long as there's room. One 45-minute class a week is the easiest thing on your calendar to keep.
You should. Let's confirm that you like the program first. Let's say you do. Our 72-hour think-it-over policy covers you in case your spouse hates the idea. This way, you keep your spot in class while you talk it through with your spouse.
We all want one-on-one attention for our kids. We focus on getting them ready for the real world, and in school they'll sit in a room with 25 to 30 other kids. Here they learn patience, discipline and how to handle frustration: waiting their turn, listening when the coach is talking to someone else, and sticking with it when it's hard. The best way to learn that is to be exposed to it early. Every class has 2 coaches and a maximum of 15 kids. They'll learn these valuable skills with a great coach-to-student ratio.
Tell us at check-in, or text us before you come, so your coaches are ready: what helps, what sets them off, anything we should know. Your kid is welcome exactly as they are. If after class we think a group setting isn't the right fit yet, we'll tell you straight and talk through what would be.
Check-in, a quick tour, and a few minutes for your coach to meet your child before the room fills up. Kids who walk in calm have a better first class. Kids who walk in with the class already running usually spend the first ten minutes catching up.
Please do. The sit-down after class goes better when everyone who has a say is in the room. If one of you can't make it, film a minute of class and show them that night.
Comfortable athletic clothes. Kids train barefoot. If you're on the floor with a younger child, wear socks. Bring a water bottle.
LAZ Parking on 49th Ave. Take a ticket and we'll validate it at the front desk: $10 for 2 hours. We're one block from the 7 train at Vernon Blvd-Jackson Ave.
Yes. If you're on the floor with your toddler, wear the baby in a front carrier. Older siblings can watch from the lobby. If a sibling wants to try a class too, ask the front desk and we'll find them a spot. A second child's registration is $0.
Come anyway. Your child can join any time before class ends.
Barefoot, water bottle, 30 minutes early. And don't forget your answer for the front desk.
I'll be there
